5K8 Series
The 5K8 series replaces the original Smartscan 5000AP series safety light curtain. The 5K8 series has been designed to make replacement of your old 5000AP series safety light curtain very straight forward. The 5K8 series simply plugs into your existing 5000AP series cable runs, without the need to waste time and money changing your cables.
The 5K8 series comprises of the Transmitter (Tx) and the Receiver (Rx) heads. In addition an integrated inverted 'T' and 'L' sahpe guards are available for guarding the pallet entry exit zones to fully automated packaging machinery e.g. Palletisers and shrink wrappers. An interface cable (A) connects the Transmitter to the Receiver unit and the User cable (B) provides the interface to the machine control panel. The system provides a fully integrated solution with cross-beam beam muting for simple installation.Two, three and four beam models for safeguarding around the perimeter of a machine are included in the model range. These models have a scanning range of 4 - 40m. A selection of accessories including safety inductive loop control boxes, reset stations and mounting stands are also available.
